Print your book

How printing works

Any book you make in ColorCraft — a coloring book, a puzzle book or a storybook — can be printed and shipped to you. Order a proof before your KDP launch, or copies for family, a classroom or an event, without listing it anywhere.

Before you start

  • Be signed in. Any signed-in user can order printed copies of a book they made.
  • Give the book a cover. A book prints only with a cover designed in the cover editor, which is part of the paid plans (and the free trial). The print flow tells you if the cover is missing and takes you straight there.
  • Check the format. The page count and trim size decide which bindings are available — see Formats & sizes.

The four steps

  1. 1

    Open the print flow

From the editor’s Publish menu choose Order printed copies, or use the Prints action on the book’s card on your dashboard. ColorCraft checks the book first: the cover, the page count, the trim size, and that every page has its art.

  2. 2

    Choose the format

Pick the binding (paperback or stapled), the inside pages, and a matte or gloss cover. Only the choices your book fits are offered, with an estimated printing cost per copy next to each.

  3. 3

Add a US address and shipping

Enter or pick a shipping address in the United States and choose a shipping option. Each option shows its price and a delivery estimate.

  4. 4

    Review and pay

Set the number of copies (1 to 25) and check the breakdown: printing, shipping and handling, the service fee and tax. You pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Printing starts once your payment goes through.

Changed your mind?

An order can be cancelled only before printing starts, about 2 hours after you order — see Cancellations & damaged copies.

After you order

Your confirmation arrives by email, and the order appears on your Orders page with its status and delivery estimate. When the books ship you get the tracking number, there and by email. The KDP export is still there, unchanged — printed copies sit alongside it, they don’t replace it.

Hold your book in your hands

Open a finished book, give it a cover, and order a printed copy.
