Open your billing page

Any of these works:

• Click Billing at the bottom of the left rail.
• Click your initials (top right), then Pages & billing.
• During the trial, click Upgrade next to your balance. This opens the upgrade window directly.

The page is called Pages & billing. Under your plan card are three numbers: Current balance, Total purchased and Pages used (every page spent, on art and puzzles alike). Below them, Transaction history lists every time pages were added or spent.

During your free trial

The top card reads Free trial, then 7-day trial active with the date it ends: “Trial ends [date]. Cancel anytime — no charge until then.” It has two buttons, Upgrade now and Manage.

   Start your plan early (optional)

   Click Upgrade now. The window Upgrade your trial now? shows the price of the plan you picked when you started the trial, and what changes: that month’s pages are added, your remaining trial pages stay, and every book downloads print-ready.

   If more than 10 trial pages are left, tick “I still have N free trial pages. Charge my card today…” Then click Upgrade now · $…. Your card is charged today. Click Not yet to close the window without paying.

   If something goes wrong

   “Upgrade in progress”: Stripe is still processing the payment. Refresh in a minute.

   “Verify with your bank”: your bank wants you to approve the payment. Approve it on the page that opens (click Open page if it didn’t open).

   “Card problem”: the card was declined. Click Manage, then Continue to cancel to open the Stripe portal. Change your card there and try again. Nothing is cancelled unless you confirm a cancellation in the portal.

   Download one book without a plan (optional)

   In the editor, click Export PDF. In the Download your print-ready book window, click Just this book — $24 one-time and pay in Stripe. That book then downloads print-ready, and your trial carries on as before. You’ll find the same offer as Unlock this book for $24 on the page described in step 3.

   Cancel your trial

   Click Manage. A page titled Before you cancel shows your trial’s end date and your latest book, with three choices:

   • Keep my trial: back to billing, nothing changes.
   • Unlock this book for $24: keep that book’s print-ready file whatever you decide.
   • Continue to cancel: opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancel your trial there. You can also change the card on file there.

   Cancel before day 7 and you’re never charged. You keep using ColorCraft until the trial’s end date. Your balance then reads Trial cancelled · ends [date] with a Resume button.

   Changed your mind? Resume

   On the billing page, the Trial cancelled card has Resume trial. It costs $0 today, and your plan starts when the trial ends. You can also click Upgrade now there to start the plan today.

On a paid plan

The top card reads Your plan, followed by the plan’s name, its pages per month and its rollover cap. Below that is Next renewal: [date].

   Move up to a bigger plan

   Click Get more pages (top right). In Get more pages each month, click Upgrade to [plan]. The summary shows what you’ll pay today (the prorated difference for the rest of this billing period) and the pages added to your balance now. Click Confirm and pay $…. Each renewal after that brings the new plan’s full monthly pages.

   Switch to Mini

   Click Manage subscription. If your plan is bigger than Mini, the Before you cancel page has an Or switch to Mini section. Click Switch to Mini, then confirm with Switch to Mini (or Keep [plan] to back out).

   Nothing is charged that day, and the pages already in your account stay. From your next renewal you pay $9/month for 40 pages a month, and unused pages roll over up to 80. You’ll see You’re moving to Mini to confirm.

   Any other change

   For a smaller plan other than Mini, or to switch between monthly and annual billing (annual is about 17% cheaper, roughly two months free), email hello@colorcraft.ai and we’ll set it up.

   Cancel your plan

   Click Manage subscription. On Before you cancel, click Keep my [plan] plan to stay, or Continue to cancel to open the Stripe billing portal and cancel there. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for. Until then you keep every feature and your pages.

   If your plan is already set to end, the same page shows Open billing portal, where you can keep it going.

   If a payment fails

   The billing page shows a Payment failed card. Click Update card to fix your card in the Stripe portal. You normally keep full access for 7 days while Stripe retries the charge. The card shows the exact date. On a plan bigger than Mini, the card also offers Or switch to Mini: you’re charged $9 now instead of the failed amount and keep all your books.

What you keep after cancelling

Invoices and receipts

Transaction history on the billing page tracks pages: pages added by your plan, pages used on art and puzzles (a puzzle book’s row counts its puzzles), and bonus pages. It doesn’t list card payments.

Card payments and invoices live in the Stripe billing portal. To get there, click Manage or Manage subscription, then Continue to cancel. Opening the portal doesn’t cancel anything. Your plan only changes if you confirm a cancellation inside the portal. Or email hello@colorcraft.ai and we’ll send you a copy.

Refunds and billing problems

If something went wrong, such as a double charge or a payment you didn’t expect, email hello@colorcraft.ai with the date of the charge. We refund charges made in error; in other cases we may offer pages or a refund at our discretion (see the Refunds section of our Terms). The billing page also links to Contact support at the bottom.
